Thin walled cylindrical sleeve

A thin walled cylindrical sleeve, consists of a silicon carbide fiber-reinforced silicon carbide composite of <= 40% porosity and <= 5 mm wall thickness, is new. An Independent claim is also included for production of the above cylindrical sleeve by individually impregnating stacked circularly knitted continuous SiC fiber layers with an organic silicon compound and then firing.
