A magnetic system with over current trip for opening the points of contact (7) of a switch device with occurrence of excess current, includes a stationary yoke (1), a ferromagnetic armature (2) and a release coil (3), in series with the points of contact (7). A closed conductor loop (14) is arranged in the armature (2) in such a way that it is inductively coupled with the release coil (3) force of the armature (2). The normals of the closed conductor loop plane lie in parallel with the axes of the trip (release) coil (3).
