Method to determine dispersive microwave resistance of microstrip conductor in GHz range

The method involves obtaining a dispersion curve using exact measurements. The represented dispersion course (Z) arises from a direct measurement of a micro strip conductor on a 0.635 mm thick substrate of aluminum oxide with a relative permittivity of 9.9. The static wave resistance is corrected according to the represented dependence of the wave resistance of the frequency. The corresponding dispersion curve can be measured for a correction, for a different substrate thickness or with another substrate material.
