The applicator consists of a brush with a handle (10) and a bundle (12) of sterilized bristles (14) joined at one end to a connector (16) which engages with a gripper (20) on the end of the handle. The connector (16) is in the form of a plate of a thermofusible material with the bristle ends embedded in it. The plate has a projecting rim to engage with the handle gripper, which comprises a socket with elastic walls (20A, 20B) and a sliding locking ring (11).
