The invention relates to a device for producing a metallic hollow body (1) with at least one hollow space (3, 5, 17) and a wall surrounding said hollow space. The outer casting mould is configured in such a way that it can be split into at least two outer parts (29A, 29B). The inner core (33, 35, 47) is connected to an outer part (29A, 29B) of the outer casting mould by at least one connecting element (53), said connecting element being used to configure a through opening in the wall (23) extending into the hollow space (3, 5, 7).
