Non-lethal antipersonnel weapon system

The weapon system has non-lethal personnel detection devices with a ground fixable housing an ejectable active component container, a proximity sensor and a personnel sensor with intelligent target discrimination. The container is ejected vertically by a propellant system activated by the proximity detector and set in rotation about its vertical axis, and scans the area spirally via its transmitter/receiver window. The evaluation electronics triggers the release of the active device when a positive target is detected. The proximity sensor can be inductive, ultrasonic or PIR type, or their combination and the personnel sensor is of laser or radar type.
