The lower half of the aerostat is formed as an integrated gondola. A horizontally disposed annular support structure is installed above the aerostat's equatorial plane on the inside and on its outer circumference is mechanically connected to the outer hull. The gondola is suspended on the annular support structure by suitable structural elements. Two diametrically opposite power plants are installed outside the hull and suspended on the support structure and stabilized by suitable struts connected to reinforced points on the hull or gondola. Independent claims are included for an annular support structure formed as a closed triangular lattice girder with connection points for suspension of the gondola, and for a gondola with a cockpit and passenger and freight carrying areas.
