An ozone generator produces ozone gas by corona discharge into a mixture of oxygen and air. The generator uses liquid dielectric media as a barrier insulation material. The ozone generator consists of a series of ozone-generating modules arranged in series or parallel. The generator comprises: a water-cooled metal housing (1); an insulating vessel fabricated in oxygen and ozone-resistant metal (3); a dielectric liquid; plates (12) made of a material which only conducts electricity in a direction perpendicular to the vessel base surface (1); a slit 'b' between the plate (12) and vessel base (3).
