The clamp device has a clamp piece (7), which can slide along a long slot in a clamp table. In the clamping area (3) of the clamp piece is an elastic, flexible clamp element (4). The clamping area holds the workpiece (5) in a removable manner between the clamp surface and a counter face (6) on the clamp table. Meanwhile, the clamp element presses the workpiece against the counter face.
