The protection device uses an n-channel MOSFET (F) which is connected in series with the protected electronic circuit (E) across the supply voltage terminals (V,M), with the connection point (V) between the electronic circuit and the n-channel MOSFET coupled to one voltage supply terminal (V) via at least 2 series resistors (R1,R2), the junction between them coupled to the gate of the n-channel MOSFET.
