The oven has the electric heating elements (32) for the oven space (31) controlled in dependence on the detected temp. at the centre (38) of the cooked meat (36), provided by a meat probe (40). This has a transmitter for transmitting the measured temp. signal to a receiver coupled to the electronic control circuit (34) for the oven heating elements.
