The disclosed drinking or table water treatment installation is characterised in that means (25a) for heating a dispenser (25) of treated drinking water are provided for cleaning and/or disinfecting the water dispenser. At the same time as the water dispenser is heated, water is pulsated through the water dispenser and evaporated. Alternatively, the water dispenser is heated but no water is led therethrough. The drinking water treatment installation has two filters connected in series, namely an activated coal filter (4), which is cleaned by exchanging the filtering medium, and a sterile filter (5) which is cleaned, disinfected and/or regenerated by steam led in the opposite direction to the flow direction of the water to be treated. The sterile filter (5) has for that purpose a heating device (26) for generating steam. A carbonating device (9, 11) is also provided to add carbonic acid to the water to be treated, as well as a cooling device (16-23) for cooling the water to be treated. |
