Lock for securing warning lights onto e.g. posts or stakes protecting building site or roadworks

A two part lock consists of a top part for mounting the light, and a bottom part secured to the post. A resilient plate and catch are used to keep in place a foot and threaded bolt joining the two parts together. The lock consists of top and bottom parts, the top part including a base plate for attaching the light to. At least one support foot (22) protrudes from the underside of the base plate facing the bottom part (12) of the lock, this foot being received by the bottom part frame (32), which is open on the side facing the top part. At least one threaded bolt (38) extending parallel to the support foot is passed through this frame to fix it against the post (36). A catch (62) can be passed through the frame and support foot. A plate (54) flexible in at least one direction is housed in the frame, and at least one side (58) of this plate is resiliently urged against the frame or threaded bolt in order to prevent removal of the bottom part from the post.
