A filter module has a filter cell stack clamped by a perforated metallic sleeve, the ends of which interlock with closure rings at the module ends. A filter module (1) has stacked disk-like filter cells (2) with a central opening for receiving a tension element in the form of a metallic sleeve (10) which has side openings and which interlocks at its ends with closure rings (7) at the module ends.
