Hydrogen storage reservoir, e.g. for use in vehicles
摘要
The carbon nanostructure particles that fill the gas reservoir are consolidated into coherent conglomerates with increased apparent density compared with the original loose particles. The gas reservoir for storing gas under pressure has a valve controlled inlet and outlet. It is filled with a carbon nanostructure of nanofibers, nanotubes or nanoflakes which have been pressed into flat or spherical conglomerates. The conglomerates have their surface films removed and are subjected to an oxidation treatment with O2, CO2 or H2O. The nanostructures are packed one under the other by spinning. The apparent density of the conglomerates is at least two times that of the original nanostructures.
