This invention is a device for acoustic imaging of internal morphology of the respiratory tract which utilizes a hollow acoustic pipe (30) having a speaker on one end, and microphones (40, 42) on its side wall (14), the improvement comprising a disposable tube (60) or sleeve which is intended to be coextensive with the pipe (30), having a filter (90) at its far end so as to avoid cross-contamination between patients whose breath enters the pipe whilst protecting the speaker from humidity.
