METHOD AND INSTALLATION FOR FILLING A TANK UNDER PRESSURE

The invention concerns a method for filling a tank under pressure with a gas, characterised in that it consists in: introducing an amount of said gas into an intermediate container (3); gradually liquefying said amount of gas as it is being introduced into said intermediate container by heat transfer (10) with a refrigerating liquid; heating said amount of gas in said intermediate container by thermal contact with a heat source (15); placing in fluid communication said intermediate container and said tank when the pressure in said intermediate container becomes higher than said tank pressure. The installation is characterised in that it comprises at least a heat compressor formed of an intermediate container (3) which includes means (10) for liquefying and for heating (15) the amount of gas it receives.
