Air bag system for vehicle

An air bag system for a vehicle has a variety of air bags spaced about the outside of the vehicle to change its shape in a collision. Wedge shaped air bags on the front of the vehicle scoop up pedestrians and prevent them being run over. Air bags on the sides, rear and roof protect the vehicle and its occupants during a collision. The air bags also press onto the surface of the road and help in slowing the vehicle prior to impact. The air bags are inflated by gas bottles spaced about the vehicle, or by foam generators. The separate air bag sections can be linked.
