A family of unidirection free-wheel clutches has concentric inner and outer running rings, each or which forms a bearing diameter and a free-wheel running body diameter. In a first clutch type, the outer running ring bearing diameter and the free-wheel running body are preferably equal. In a second clutch type, the inner running ring bearing diameter and the free-wheel body diameter are preferably equal. The clutches each have a running ring whose bearing diameter varies in a predetermined sequence. A bearing, whose dimensions are the same as those of the inner ring diameter and outer ring diameter and which has a number of identical free moving bodies, is positioned between the running rings. Each free moving body has a predetermined bowed length, defined as a function of the bearing diameter. Each multiple of the diameter for the family of clutches makes use of a whole number of free running bodies to achieve a positive, continual interlock condition.
