<p>A combination composition comprising L-carnitine, acetyl L-carnitine and propionyl L-carnitine or the pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof is disclosed which can be used as a pharmaceutical composition for suppressing withdrawal symptoms and craving for alcohol in alcoholics, and as a dietary supplement, health food, medical food or nutraceutical for preventing the abuse of alcohol in substantially healthy subjects, particularly in young individuals.</p> |
