The refuse deposition detection device uses a refuse collection container contained within a secure room associated with an automatic weighing device (W). The access control device (Z) for the room and the weighing device a re coupled to a control (3) which identifies the individual depositing refuse and the weight of the refuse deposited for calculation of a corresponding charge. The control has a communication interface (4) for transmitting the registered data to a communication interface (14) associated with the collection container, coupled to data memory (15), which is scanned when the refuse container is collected.
