<p>The vehicle dashboard (2) accommodates a control panel (1) with on/off switch (5), temperature (3), and air distribution (4) controls. The controls are used to input to memory (6) values, retained when the air-conditioner, or vehicle, is out of service, and apply them (10) to the functional components (11) via a calculating unit (7), connected to interior (8) and exterior (9) air temperature sensors. A discriminating module (12) allows one of the several previously input operating programs to be selected after its particular identifying code is input at another panel control (14). Several different programs are available to one driver (or passengers); alternatively, each of several drivers has his/her own program. The discriminating module (12) holds the programs in one memory (15) while another (13) operates recognition programs. Users identify themselves by e.g. repeatedly pressing the panel control (14), using a simple number recognition code. Optionally, several buttons, one per driver, are fitted, or a voice recognition or keypad system is used. Differentiation may also be implanted in personalized ignition keys or a security startup pad.</p> |
