Method for mounting a clutch unit on a crankshaft

The method involves moving screwing-tool radially in the clutch module rotation direction from first to second screw-in steps. The entire operation is performed automatically by an assembly station. The axes of symmetry of the tool access holes (7a) in the spring (8) radiate off the axis of rotation and also taper inwardly. The holes are sufficiently large at the outer end to admit the tool. Thus the diameter of the tool changes abruptly in the part engaging the clutch module so that the max. dia. is confined to the tool end facing the screw (6). The smaller tool diameter (df) should be smaller than the access hole on its radially inner side.
