Improved rendering of continuous tone images by reducing clustering of halftone dots

Growth and clustering of halftone dots is a drawback in the halftoning of continuous tone images on prior art recording materials. A heat-mode recording material is disclosed that shows lower clustering, an effect that can be defined as negative crosstalk. The benefit is an improved image quality combining better tone rendering with lower noise. <IMAGE>
