The pool cover is made up of articulated hollow and rigid slats, each with at least one roller (4) on each end to press against the side (11) of the swimming pool. Each roller is set in a slat end cap (3) and fitted with a spring (5) which urges the roller towards the pool side. The cap has two parallel side plates (30, 32) with guide grooves (35, 36) or slots for the roller's axle (42), and its base is shaped to fit the end of the cover slat.
