<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the waterproof performance of a grommet. SOLUTION: A wire harness is fitted to a through-hole 2a of a panel 2 partitioning an engine room X and a car room Y of an automobile via a grommet 10. The wire harness is interposed through a long-size small diameter cylinder portion 11 of the grommet 10, and plural seal protrusions 15 protruded at intervals from the whole inner periphery face of the small diameter cylinder portion and in an axial line direction are closely stuck on the outer periphery face of the wire harness. The relationship between an outer diameter D of the wire harness and the diameter (d) of a hollow portion surrounded by the seal protrusions of the grommet is set to 2d<D, and the seal protrusions 15 are brought down toward an engine room opening in the close sticking state thereof onto the outer periphery face of the wire harness.</p> |
