<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain radar equipment by which whether a target is large or small can be discriminated easily and precisely irrespective of whether the distance of the target is far or near by a method wherein a received signal is converted into a received signal in which the component of the distance up to the target contained in the received signal is removed and in which the magnitude of the intensity of the received signal of the target depends on only the effective reflection area of the target and an image is displayed. SOLUTION: An effective-reflection-area conversion part 4 wherein a received signal logV which is digitized by an A/D converter 3 is converted into a received signal logσin which the component of a distance up to a target contained in the received signal is removed and in which the magnitude of the intensity of the received signal of the target depends on only its effective reflection area and the received signal is supplied to a memory part 5 is installed. In the conversion part 4, the received signal is cleared to an initial value by a trigger signal T from a timing control part 10 by using a distance counting counter 41. After that, a distance clock RCK as a minimum unit in a distance direction is counted so as to be output as the address of a distance-counting output memory 42. The memory 42 outputs value stored in every address. The counter 3 and the memory 42 are added by an addition circuit 43, and the component of the distance is removed.</p> |
