The guide strip (1) incorporates a capacitive non-contact anti-crush device (10), comprising an electrical conductor (12) embedded in the strip and connected, once the strip has been fitted into the window frame, to an electronic sensor (20). The sensor detects the variation in capacity produced by a displacement or distortion of the conductor as a result of a foreign body obstructing the closure of the window or panel, and stops or reverses the drive. The conductor (12) of the anti-crush device is in the form of a spiral metal spring which is partially stretched so that it is both compressible and extendable. The guide strip is made from a supple elastomer such as EPDM, and the conductor is embedded in it by co-extrusion. The anti=crush device can have two conductor elements (12) separated by a cavity (15) in the strip, with the electronic sensor measuring a variation in capacity resulting from the conductors approaching one another when the cavity is distorted. In addition, the conductor can be rolled in a spiral round a rod of low density polyethylene inside the EPDM strip. |
