The device comprises a motor-fan set with a casing housing a centrifugal turbine. The turbine induces ambient air axially and discharges it radially outwards. The casing comprises, upstream of the turbine, an air inlet chamber (24) connected to fresh air and/or re-circulated air intakes (26). In the air inlet chamber is an air filter (34) and a filter access hatch (36).
