PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte seondary battery prevent from short- circuit while keeping high airtightness and excellent battery performance. SOLUTION: This battery comprises; an unit cell 1 comprising a sheet-shaped positive electrode 5, a sheet-shaped negative electrode 4, and a solid polymer electrolyte layer 8 interposed between the positive electrode 5 and the negative electrode 4; a positive electrode lead 11 electrically connected with the positive electrode 5; a negative electrode lead electrically connected with the negative electrode 4; and a laminate film 12 for sealing the unit cell 1 in such manner that the tips of the positive electrode lead 11 and the negative electrode lead are projected to the outside. The film 12 includes a metallic layer inside, at least a part of an edge face of the film holding the positive electrode lead 11 and the negative electrode lead, is coated with a layered matter 25 having insulating property. |
