PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable for detecting a disaster and deterioration of a structure capable of improving sensitivity for a stress and a strain of the optical fiber applied by a disaster, simplifying a cable structure, widening a measuring range, simplifying cable laying, and enhancing durability in cable laying. SOLUTION: This cable is constituted by winding an optical fiber 1 to a spacer 2 having a tension member 3 in its center and by providing a press winding 4 and a sheath 5 in this order, a stranding pitch of the spacer 2 is made to be within 20-200 mm, and the diameter of the spacer 2 is made to be within 1-10 mm. An allowable tension of the optical fiber cable is made to be a numerical value found by the expression 0.5×W, or less. The W expresses cable mass (kg/km). Alternatively, the sheath made of polyethylene or polyvinylchloride is acceptable in this constitution.
