The gearbox (24) is mounted on a beam (10) of the bodywork which comprises an elastic support (26) for the subassembly. The subassembly first frame (30) is fixed to the beam by a nut and bolt. The frame comprises a positioning nose which is received in a cavity (60) of complementary shape to that of the beam. The fixing nuts and bolts (54,82) have their screwing axis (Y-Y) corresponding to the axis along which the positioning nose extends.
