PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor integrated circuit and an electronic device using such a semiconductor integrated circuit, that is capable of reducing clock skews, suppressing the radiation of higher harmonics, and reducing power consumption. SOLUTION: An electronic device comprises LSIs and a clock supply source. Each LSI is constituted of a clock input terminal CK- 1, having an input impedance which is purely capacitive and whose resistance component is extremely low. The clock supply source includes resonance circuits hating input capacitors 21, 22 and 23 and inductive elements 31, 32 and 33, respectively, and an oscillation circuit using each resonance circuit as a load. Each LSI is so constructed that its internal clock distribution is implemented by means of a mesh-like wiring, and its clock input terminal is directly connected to the mesh-like wiring without going through a clock buffer therebetween. Therefore, the power consumed for clock distribution is only a calorific component due to resistances during the charging and discharging of the resonance circuits and is extremely small. Hence, the power consumption of the LSIs themselves is reduced by several tens of percent. A sinusoidal clock wave can be obtained, and the radiation of higher harmonics are eliminated. |
