PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document management device capable of taking out a document even when a user does not input a document name, a keyword or the like and eliminating the necessity of storing or inputting a document number. SOLUTION: The document management device is provided with a document management part 5 for adding an inherent document number to a document to be registered in a document DB 6, a printer control part 8 for printing out the document number on a prescribed position of the document and an image analysis part 9 for recognizing the document number printed on the document when the document is read out by a scanner 1 and constituted so as to specify and extract the required document only by reading out the 1st page or the like of the document printed at the time of registration by the scanner 1. The analysis part 9 is allowed to have a function for recognizing an updating instruction pattern described on the document and constituted so as to recognize a character string specified by the updating instruction pattern, so that the document can simply be updated only by describing the updating instruction pattern and the contents of correction on a part to be corrected in the document and reading out the described contents by the scanner 1. |
