VOICE CODING DEVICE AND PITCH PREDICTING METHOD IN VOICE CODING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the amount of computations in the DSP (CPU) during the pitch prediction of a voice coding without depending on k parameters. SOLUTION: The device is provided with a memory 9, which stores data t'[n] that are created by a convolution processing of a pitch reproducing sound source pulse column Y[n] extracted from a sound source pulse column X[n] in a pitch reproduction processing section 1 and coefficients I[n] of a linear prediction synthesis filter 2. If a convolution process is again repeated, a memory control is executed to write a portion of the former convolution data of the memory 9 into a current convolution data storage region and the pitch prediction process is executed using the current convolution data.
