<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote control system with pointing function having a simple and compact structure and small in power consumption at a low cost, by detecting an instructed point on a display screen based on a pointing instruction signal and controlling respective equipment parts based on an equipment control signal. SOLUTION: The remote controller 3 has a light emitting element 20 for emitting the pointing instruction signal, a light emitting element 29 for emitting the equipment control signal, and slit 21 for changing light emitted from the light emitting element 20 into slit light on the front face of the light emitting element 20. The rotating slit light is emitted from the remote controller 3 by the rotating slit 21 built in this remote controller 3. That slit light becomes the pointing instruction signal. Therefore, the respective parts of equipment displayed on a display screen can be operated by directly instructing for display screen, and the operability is improved. Further, since the light emitting elements 20 and 29 are miniaturized, the remote controller 3 can be made compact and light in weight, and power consumption can be reduced as well.</p> |
