PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fetch information included in another computer or the like on a network by using link information added to continuous media such as sounds and moving images. SOLUTION: A time section from the start time of a section to which link information is added up to its end time, an area of a picture in which the link information exists in the time section and linked destination information are added to continuous media data as link information. A data processing part 4 reads out the link information added to transmitted continuous media, presents the read link information to a user through a picture display device 12 and obtains information specified by the link information selected from a user input device 14 by the user through a network 1 to present the information to the user. Thereby link information can be added also to continuous media.
