PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve AF control performance during the use of a film adapter by detecting the motion of an image caused by the move of a film by changing AF control operation through the detection of the mounting state of the film adapter, and preventing AF from being unexpectedly started again even when the motion is considerable. SOLUTION: First of all, whether it is focusing or out-of-focusing at present is judged by wobbling operation (1502). When focusing is decided (1503), a focus competition lens is stopped, and a restart monitoring processing routine (1508) is started. Next, the output of a motion detecting means is compared with a prescribed threshold value, and it is decided whether the motion of the image is considerable or not (1801). Only when the motion is judged a little as a result of decision, a restart decision routine (1509) is started but in the other case, the device is set on standby (1801). When out-of-focusing is judged (1503), on the other hand, mountain climbing operation (1504) is executed. When the result exceeds the apex of an AF evaluate signal, the focus competition lens is returned to the apex (1506 and 1507). |
