PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the safety of the traveling of a vehicle by detecting the position of the vehicle even when one of plural magnetic detectors fails. SOLUTION: Plural magnets 11 are provided in two left and right columns on a traveling path 1 and the five magnetic detectors are provided with regular intervals in the left-and-right direction of the vehicle 3 on the vehicle 3. Then, when all the five magnetic detectors are normally operated, magnetic fluxes generated from the respective magnets 11 provided on the left and right of the traveling path 1 are detected by the respective magnetic detectors and the position of the vehicle 3 is judged. On the other hand, when one of the respective magnetic detectors fails, by the normally operated magnetic detectors, only the magnetic fluxes generated from the respective magnets 11 provided on either side among the respective magnets 11 provided on the left and right of the traveling path 1 are detected and the position of the vehicle 3 is judged. |
