PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil well pipe which is not easily damaged even by subsidence by providing a sliding layer on the outer part of the oil well pipe body and reducing frictional force acting the oil well pipe, to reduce sliding phenomena during construction by determining material property of the sliding layer, and to prevent an external physical impact from damaging the sliding layer or decreasing frictional force reduction effect during carrying of the oil well pipe or construction by improving adhering force between the sliding layer and the oil well pipe body and introducing a protecting layer onto the sliding layer. SOLUTION: This oil well pipe is made of a material with a thickness where residual negative frictional force is less than 2×10<3> N/m<3> after a sliding layer 4 has deformed for one year at a working temperature of the oil well pipe, or is made of a material where stiffness factor S(t) is from 10<-5> N/m<2> to 10<3> N/m<2> after the sliding layer 4 has deformed for one year at the working temperature of the oil well pipe, and has an adhering layer 3 between the pipe body 1 and the sliding layer 4.
