PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent contact under high pressure even if there is any burr or chipping, and enable lengthening of the life of the device, by forming the ring-shaped contact face of either of a vibrating body exciting vibration and a contact body brought into contact with the vibrating body into a sphere by ball lapping or the like. SOLUTION: Bending vibration in the horizontal direction and bending vibration in the vertical direction are simultaneously excited in a vibrating body 4, and rotation on an axis is caused. Therefore, a rotor 1 which is pressed and brought into contact by pressure F is rotationally driven by friction between both contact faces 3, 5. The vibrating body 4 is so formed that the entire contact face 5 of the vibrating body 4 has a center of curvature on an axis and is spherical with a radius of curvature, and is so set that the inner surface and peripheral edge of the contact face 3 is not in contact with the contact face 5 or is in contact under low pressure if they are brought into contact with each other. Therefore, if any burr or chipping is present on the inner circumference or peripheral edge of the contact face 3, wear in the contact face 5 can be reduced. In addition, the central portion of the contact face 3 is brought into contact with the contact face 5 under sufficient contact pressure, and driving capability can be enhanced. |
