PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily perform transition between a one-way communication mode and a two-way communications mode by starting printing after changing a pseudo two-way transmissions mode to the two-way communications mode when the pseudo two-way communications mode is set and a command instructing to start printing is transmitted from a computer system in that mode. SOLUTION: A switching signal 10 is transmitted to a printer unit 5 and at the printer unit 5, a print control part 6 sets the pseudo two-way communications mode. The print control part 6 at the printer unit 5 returns a response 11 to a computer system 1. A printer communication control part 2 confirms the returned response 11 and transmits the command instructing to start two-way communications to the printer unit 5. When the command instructing to start two-way communications is received, the print control part 6 changes the state of the printer unit 5 into two-way communications mode. Then, the printer unit 5 receives print data and prints them out while two-way communicating with the computer system 1. |
