PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lithium polymer battery which is made more compact with an increased capacity. SOLUTION: This battery comprises a sheet-shaped positive electrode 2 containing a lithium-containing metallic oxide as an active material and having a positive electrode collector; a sheet-shaped separator stacked and arranged on a main face of the sheet-shaped positive electrode 2 and holding the electrolytic liquid; a sheet-shaped negative electrode 3 containing carbonaceous material storing and releasing lithium metal or lithium stacked and arranged on the main face of the sheet-shaped separator as an active material and having a negative electrode collector; armour resin films 4, 5 for fluid-tightly sealing the electrode element (battery element) comprising a layered body of the sheet-shaped electrodes 2, 3 and the sheet-shaped separator; and a positive and a negative electrodes terminals 2a, 3a of which each one edge is connected with the collector of the sheet-shaped electrodes 2 or 3, respectively and the other edges are sealed and led to the outsides of the armour resin films 4, 5, respectively on this occasion, the positive and negative electrode terminals 2a, 3a are folded along an edge face of the battery element to be 2a', 3a', and positioned on the same plane in parallel with the main face of the lithium polymer battery to be sealed and led outside of the armour resin films 4, 5. |
