PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply and highly accurately calculate an index of a vehicle cornering characteristic such as a stability factor, a target yaw rate of a front vehicle, etc., by using a specific operation formula. SOLUTION: A stability factor A of a front biaxial vehicle is calculated with the use of an equation 1 on the basis of a vehicle velocity V, a front wheel steering angleδ, an actual yaw rateγdetected when the vehicle actually runs and corners, and a set equivalent inter-axle distance L. The equivalent inter-axle distance L is calculated with the use of an equation II. In the equation II, L1 is a distance between a front front axle and a rear axle L2 is a distance between the front front axle and a front rear axle, L3 is a distance between the front rear axle and the rear axle, Kθis a steering gear ratio of a front front wheel and a front rear wheel, and X is a constant. A target yaw rate is set on the basis of the detected vehicle velocity V, front wheel steering angleδ, induced stability factor A, set inter-axle distance L after the stability factor A is induced. |
