PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for recognition and to improve a recognition success rate by recognizing the position and/or attitude of a recognition object based on the two-dimensional(2D) image information of plural frames acquired by an image pickup control means. SOLUTION: A host computer 50 manages the conveyance process of various loads. As the loads, corrugated cardboard boxes or pail cans in various shapes and sizes are loaded on a pallet and conveyed, for example. In this case, the load in the different shape or size is not placed on the same pallet. The host computer 50 grasps and holds load information such as the shapes, dimensions and loading step numbers of loads on a lot of respective pallets to be successively conveyed for each pallet. A load position/attitude recognizing device 10 receives the load information from the host computer 50 for each pallet. Based on this load information, the load position/attitude recognizing device 10 recognizes the positions and attitudes of the respective loads. |
