PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable replacing a field memory with a memory where the data bus for writing of DRAM, etc., is shared with that for reading by arranging a writing buffer part and a readout buffer part and also specifying the number of picture elements in picture data. SOLUTION: DRAM 3 is used in place of a conventional field memory. In accordance with it, the writing buffer part 6 for temporarily storing two-dimensional picture data to be stored in DRAM 3 and the two reading buffer parts 7a and 7b for temporarily storing data which is read from DRAM 3 are provided. Then, the number (x) of the picture elements in picture data to be continuously accessed to DRAM 3 is indicated by a formula: x>=3 ×b×c/(b-3×a). (A) expresses the bit length of picture data in one picture element, (b) expresses the data bus width of DRAM and (c) indicates the number of clocks between access operations in the formula. |
