PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of excessive abrasion in a resistor element on a printed circuit board, by arranging a wiper mechanism and a wiper element thereof at a position apart from a rotational axis of an operating member, and freely rotatably fixing the operating member to the circuit board through the substantial center portion of the member. SOLUTION: An operating member 526 is rotatably fixed to a printed circuit board 508 through a pivot (rotational axis) 528. The operating member 526 is provided with a wiper member 530. The wiper member 530 comprises two pairs of wiper elements 532 which are placed side by side with a distance therebetween so as to, respectively, form wiper contacts with a fixed resistor element 512 and a variable resistor element 514. Further, the wiper member 530 is firmly secured to a first edge portion of the operating member 526 by means of an appropriate fixture, a fixing projection 534, for instance.
