PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To always focus on a picture with high precision at the time of reading a picture by color-separating it into plural color components. SOLUTION: A picture is read by moving the position of a lens for image forming a picture by each prescribed amounts, and color-separating it into R, G, and B by a CCD, and the values of high frequency components (AF data) extracted from picture data in each color are compared. When the maximum values of the AF data of the R and B are low like a figure (A), and the lens position when the AF data are the maximum is not clear, G is selected, and when the lens position when the AF data are maximum is made different for each color like a figure (B), R for allowing the lens position when the AF data are the maximum to be the intermediate position of each color is selected, and when the AF data of B are rapidly changed according to the change of the lens position like a figure (C), B is selected. Then, the lens is moved to the position at which the AF data of the selected color component are the maximum. |
