<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer having stable negative charge electrification property which hardly causes image defects such as fog by incorporating a toner containing at least a binder resin, a coloring agent and a specified 2:1 metal complex compd., and a carrier prepared by coating specified particles with a silicone resin. SOLUTION: This developer contains a toner containing at least a binder resin, coloring agent and 2:1 metal complex compd. expressed by formula I, and a carrier prepared by coating particles expressed by formula II: (MO)x (Fe2 O3 ) with a silicone resin. In formula I, X is -CONHph group, Y is -SO2 C2 H5 , and M is a cobalt atom, A is an alkali metal or ammonium ion. In formula II, M represents one or more metals selected from Li, Mg, Mn, Fe(II), Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd, Sr and Ba, and the molar ratio of X to Y is <1.0.</p> |
