PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically and immediately recognize from whom image compressed data come even when only the image compressed data are transferred. SOLUTION: A telephone number is received through a transmission line connection means 106, and a transmission line control means 107 connects to a called party. An image input means 101 fetches an image signal, and an image compression means applies image compression to an original image by using the JPEG compression algorithm. A user data area detection means 103 detects a user data area in image compression data and a data addition means 105 adds personal information stored in a personal information storage means 104 to the user data area according to a prescribed format. Then a transmission line control means 107 sends the data to the called party via a transmission line 110. |
